(15 June 2020, Hong Kong) NWS Holdings Limited (“NWS Holdings” or the “Group”; Hong Kong stock code: 659) is pleased to announce that its community programme, NWS Career Navigator for Youth, has won the Outstanding Partnership Project Award 2019/20 from The Hong Kong Council of Social Service. This fifth award for the programme marks as an additional recognition of the Group’s commitment to supporting youth development and Create Shared Value for the community.
NWS Career Navigator for Youth, launched in 2016, is organised by the Group in collaboration with Po Leung Kuk, Hong Kong Young Women’s Christian Association and 10 schools in Tsuen Wan and Kwai Tsing District. Through the tripartite partnership of business, non-profits organisations and schools, the programme provides teachers and senior secondary students with a wide range of longterm career planning support and activities, which allow students to learn more about different industries and be well prepared for their career. The Group’s corporate volunteers also take the role of mentors to provide guidance for the students. Since the launch of the programme in 2016, over 250 activities spanning more than 25 industries have been held and received a total participation of 7,200 students and teachers.
NWS Career Navigator for Youth of the Group have scooped four awards since launched. The awards include The Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards 2018, the gold award in the Enterprise category at the 8th Hong Kong Outstanding Corporate Citizenship Awards, the gold award in the CSR category at the 13th China Golden Awards for Excellence in Public Relations, and named as Highly Commended Initiative in Social Responsibility in The Asset ESG Corporate Awards 2019.
In addition, the NWS Holdings and 12 of its member companies have been awarded the Caring Company Logo, presented by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service to recognize the companies’ contribution in corporate citizenship (refer to the list below).
