NWS Donates 20,000 Sets of Rapid Antigen Test Kits to the Underprivileged

(31 March, 2022, Hong Kong) The demand for anti-pandemic supplies remains strong among the underprivileged as the fifth wave of COVID-19 rages on. NWS Holdings Limited (“NWS” or the “Group”; Stock code:659), in light of such a situation, announces today that it is donating 20,000 sets of rapid antigen test kits through NWS Holdings Charities Foundation Limited to seven NGOs.

Adhering to the New World Group’s spirit of Creating Shared Value (“CSV”), NWS has been proactively supporting the community to combat the pandemic. Following its donation of 10,000 medical-grade oximeters in February, the Group further donates 20,000 sets of rapid antigen test kits as its latest effort to help alleviate the financial burden of the underprivileged in purchasing anti-pandemic supplies. A number of NGOs will be benefited from the initiative, including Christian Action, Chi Yun School, Direction Association for the Handicapped, The Mental Health Association of Hong Kong, The Society of Rehabilitation and Crime Prevention Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation and Association for the Rights of Industrial Accident Victims.

NWS and its member companies are committed to providing anti-pandemic support to society. Related initiatives include Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Limited supporting the HKSAR Government to set up a storage and logistics centre of more than half a million square feet for pandemic-related supplies at Phase 2 of the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre; Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong launching a number of measures to help mitigate the pressure on public hospitals; in addition to FTLife Insurance Company Limited offering free COVID-19 related protection to designated pandemic-control fleet drivers. Together with the New World Group, NWS will continue to monitor the development of the pandemic and provide appropriate support to fight against the pandemic alongside the community.
