(17 May 2005, Hong Kong) NWS Holdings Limited’s (“NWS Holdings” or the “Group”; 0659.HK) Ocean Park Fun Nite attracted more than 3,700 staff and their family members last Saturday’s evening. To make the event even more meaningful, the Group invited children and members of underprivileged families through Po Leung Kuk and Hans Anderson Club to share the joyful weekend.
Mr Tsang Yam Pui, Executive Director of NWS Holdings said, “We make special efforts in organizing various recreational activities in order to motivate our staff and relieve their work pressure. We believe a proper work-life balance is important to every one.”
Extending its care for staff to the community, NWS Holdings invited about 20 low-income families and 70 children through its community partners, Po Leung Kuk and Hans Anderson Club, to join this event. Not going out very often, the children were excited about visiting Ocean Park.
To boost staff morale among the strong workforce of 40,000, NWS Holdings set up the Sports and Recreation Committee to organize activities of different kinds to cater for the needs of its staff in health and relaxation. Apart from Ocean Park Fun Nite, the Group organized a table tennis competition and a bowling competition earlier, which were well received by staff.
Ocean Park Fun Nite was one of the highlights of NWS Holdings’ activities this year. The entire park and its facilities were exclusively reserved for the Group’s members during the period. Staff also enjoyed the stage performance and lucky draw specially organized for the evening. They felt a strong sense of belonging to the NWS Holdings family when they enjoyed the event.
