Fairy Kiddo ─ Life Rejuvenation Scheme 2006
Since 2003, NWS Volunteer Alliance, the corporate volunteer team of NWS Holdings, has partnered with non-profit organizations to organize the Life Rejuvenation Scheme on a yearly basis. In 2006, NWS Volunteer Alliance collaborated with Storyland of Hans Andersen Club for a one-year programme, Fairy Kiddo for 30 primary school children from Wong Tai Sin District’s low-income families. Guided by some 20 volunteers of the NWS Volunteer Alliance, the Fairy Kiddos were able to learn the basics of drama and story writing so as to enhance their interest towards reading, writing and strengthen their communication skill. Fairy Kiddos also visited the subsidiary companies of NWS Holdings, such as the depot of New World First Bus and the nursery in Hong Kong Island Landscape.
