(11June 2009, Hong Kong) NWS Holdings Limited (“NWS Holdings” or the “Group”, Hong Kong stock code: 659) held the NWS Awards Presentation Ceremony 2009 (the “Ceremony”) to recognize the achievements of employees with excellent performance.
The ceremony was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 27 May 2009. Some 450 people, including the management of the Group and member companies, awardees and their family members, attended the Ceremony. Mr William Doo, Deputy Chairman of NWS Holdings, officiated at the Ceremony and remarked that the Group always perceives its staff as an important asset. He believes contribution from staff is vital for the company success, thus continuing to give recognition to staff and promote quality service. Facing the challenge from the worldwide economic turmoil and swine flu, Mr Doo reckons the employees will continue to work hard and exceed expectations and work for a bright future.
It was the sixth Outstanding Employee Grand Award (the “Award”) since it was launched. Awards were presented to Hong Kong/Macau and Mainland China regions, both open to managerial, office and frontline staff. A total of 55 staff members from 27 companies were nominated for the Award this year. Candidates had to pass through internal selection from their respective company and two panel interviews by Group management and human resource practitioners. Awardees were selected based on their contribution to company, enthusiasm in job, job quality, management skill and customer service skills, etc.
The Group also presented Top Fund Raised, Best Photo and Cross-boundary Care awards for NWS Caring Day 2009 held in February this year. In addition, NWS Volunteer Alliance awards, such as Most Participative and Best Improvement awards were presented to appreciate member companies’ efforts in promoting volunteering at the occasion. Last but not least, NWS Sports Yearly Grand Award 2008 was also presented.
