The Group today received the Best Practice Award 2013 in the “Employee Care” category in recognition of its unwavering efforts in fostering a caring and family-friendly working environment for its employees.
NWS Holdings has proactively implemented different pioneering measures, including paternity leave, for its employees. The NWS Scholarships for Employees’ Children Scheme was launched last year to encourage and support the next generation’s education. The Group also provides various breaks to meet the needs of staff members, such as examination leave and birthday leave.
This year the Group has implemented several new family-friendly initiatives, including inviting corporate staff members and their families to join the Staff and Family Movie Day. The NWS Adventure Day was also held, with a recording breaking of 6,700 staff members and their families enjoying a day out at the Hong Kong Disneyland.
To promote the concept of healthy living, an annual Corporate Outing was held last Friday (15 November) where corporate staff members enjoyed the hiking and scenery of the Dragon’s Back at Shek O, followed by seafood dinner. The Group also distributes health snacks and fruit to staff on a regular basis.
