(14 November 2014, Hong Kong) The corporate advertisement “Connecting Lives. Building Futures.” of NWS Holdings Limited (“NWS Holdings” or the “Group”; Hong Kong stock code: 659) won the Grand Award in Advertising after winning a gold award at the prestigious 2014 Galaxy Awards. Competition was strong with more than 600 entries from 22 countries around the world. These awards came as another major recognition of the Group’s performance in branding and corporate communication following 10 other international awards received earlier this year, including one gold and five silver awards.
The advertisement features seven red and orange tracks that symbolise the Group’s seven business segments in Infrastructure and Services. The map of Mainland China in the backdrop represents that the Group is forging new paths from our home base in Hong Kong into Mainland China. The energetic design also brings out our unwavering efforts to strive for excellence and provide quality services that enhance everyday lives of people.
The Grand Award in Advertising garnered by the Group is one of the top honours in Galaxy Awards. Organised by MerComm, Inc. in the U.S., the event honours excellence in marketing communication. The panel comprised of industry professionals around the world who judged the entries in three rounds and chose winners based on creativity and the ability to build an outstanding corporate image.
NWS Holdings Annual Report 2013 also garnered the Bronze Award in the Annual Reports—Overall Presentation: Diversified Business category in the competition, in addition to winning a gold award and two silver awards in the 2014 International ARC Awards. The Group also received a silver award in Corporate Social Responsibility of the second Hong Kong Public Relations Awards 2014 organised by Hong Kong Public Relations Professionals’ Association Limited, together with two silver awards in Internal Communication and Environmental Protection and Public Relations categories at the 11th China Golden Awards for Excellence in Public Relations organised by China International Public Relations Association.
