(12 October 2017, Hong Kong) NWS Holdings Limited (“NWS Holdings” or the “Group”; Hong Kong stock code: 659) held the NWS Adventure Day 2017 on 30 September. Over 8,000 local staff and their family members enjoyed an exciting day out at the Hong Kong Disneyland. This event is the Group's most popular family-friendly event, allowing staff, their partners and children to enjoy exclusive Disneyland attractions and Halloween events together with special offers on meals and shopping at the park.
The Group is committed to implementing comprehensive family-friendly policies, organising a range of activities for staff and their families to help them strike the right balance between work and family life. In 2012, the Group launched the NWS Scholarships for Employees’ Children programme to benefit the next generation of its staff. In addition, staff and their families are invited to enjoy a free movie to mark the summer holiday season each year. Families are also invited to visit the NWS corporate office on Family Visit Day. Meanwhile, the Group is dedicated to fostering a caring working environment. For example, a caring room is available in the corporate office which gives privacy to breast-feeding mothers. The Group’s subsidiary, New World First Ferry Limited, has also opened the first breastfeeding room on Hong Kong public transport.
The Group recently won the World HRD Congress’ “Best Employer Brand Award” and “Dream Employer of The Year” at the 8th Asia’s Best Employer Brand Awards 2017, which recognise NWS Holdings’ exemplary efforts to maintain an ideal working environment, support and retain employees and enhance talent development
